Compare and Contrast Essay
Directions: This nine weeks we are focusing on informational writing. You are going to select two subjects of your choice to write a compare and contrast essay about. Choose two things that you are relatively familiar with and have to do minimal research (3-5 sources) for.
Example: You could compare and contrast places you’ve lived, states/countries you’ve visited, musical artists, types of music, sports teams, sports, foods, cultures, academic subjects, famous people, authors, etc.
In the end, you will turn in your outline, rough draft, final draft, and a works cited page that has any resources you used during research. You should have no more than 3-5 resources. No wikipedia/about.com/ask.com/yahoo answers, etc.
